Program for Advanced Leadership & Management (PALM)

The Madinah Institute for Leadership and Entrepreneurship (MILE) to be located at Madinah Knowledge Economic City (KEC) is a major strategic Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Savola Group which aims at establishing the highest level of executive education in the Middle East. MILE is a non-profit project and will have CSR contributions from several other local corporations. The first senior executive development program of MILE is the Program for Advanced Leadership and Management (PALM) which will be held for two weeks starting Saturday January 16, 2010 (first week in Madinah and the second in Jeddah).

PALM is an opportunity for senior executives to recharge their batteries, keep up-to-date with best management practices and develop their leadership skills. This high-level multinational forum challenges business leaders both personally and professionally. Through interaction with international and diverse peers as well as professors from top business schools, authors of best-selling books and highly experienced consultants from the top global consulting firms, participants will have the opportunity to expand their business repertoire to include new concepts, paradigms and practices. The program addresses core business management areas such as strategic planning, corporate finance, marketing and branding, talent management, supply chain management, decision making, and managing technology. The program also sharpens participants' leadership skills through action learning, personality profiling and executive coaching.

The maximum number of participants in the program is 50. We are aiming to have 25 of them from Saudi Arabia and the remaining from other Arab and Muslim countries. Admission to the program is limited only to members of executive committees, senior managers and heads of business units and functional areas in business companies. We will also accept high-impact, fast-track potential leaders who have more than 10 years of experience in roles of increasing responsibility.
